  • The cost of flights between Dubai and Doha has begun to decline due to the announcement of shuttle services to Qatar for the duration of the World Cup by UAE-based airlines, including Flydubai and Air Arabia.

  • Many are choosing to travel to Dubai and then shuttle to Doha for the world cup matches, according to Fly Aerolink Travel, as flights and lodging rates in Qatar have dramatically increased.

Why it matters

The demand for travel between Dubai and Doha during the World Cup has also increased airfares between India and the UAE, with a stunning 49% increase in ticket pricing between the two countries from April to July compared to levels before the outbreak. The percentage of reservations made in advance for stays of at least 60 days is currently about 58%, and the trend is expected to grow with each passing month.
