Dubai is looking to launch a $5bn moon-shaped resort designed by Canadian architectural company, Moon World Resorts Inc. The resort, which will reach heights of 735 feet, has been designed to be built within 48 months and is expected to rein in over 2.5 million guests annually. The resort’s focus is on leading edge architecture, engineering, design and technology. Moon will also accommodate a training platform for various space agencies and their respective astronauts.

Moon is set to include a wellness centre, nightclub, space tourism, and hospitality which are all set to add to the Emirates economy. The resort will be surrounded by a 10-acre lunar surface that includes an authentic “lunar colony” which is expected to enable guests to experience affordable space tourism on the ground.
