  • Abu Dhabi has launched a Dh3.5 billion ($953 million) initiative to provide 1,146 villas for UAE citizens, as approved by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. The Yas Canal project, situated in Al Raha Beach, is slated for completion in the last quarter of 2027. Overseeing the project will be the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Centre for Projects and Infrastructure and the ICT Real Estate Development Company. Sheikh Khaled emphasized that the residential development underscores Abu Dhabi's dedication to delivering top-tier housing solutions to meet the needs of Emirati families.

  • The project aims to enhance their well-being, promote social stability, and contribute to the emirate's overall progress, as reported by the Abu Dhabi Media Office. Spanning 1.8 square kilometers, the project will feature a range of amenities, including villas, mosques, schools, gyms, and retail outlets, designed to enrich the community experience. Sales of units will be managed collaboratively with the ADHA, while ICT will oversee the project's design, construction, and infrastructure. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to leverage public-private partnerships and ensure that Emiratis have access to quality housing through approved developers.
