Amazon in the UAE today announced the signing of an agreement with LuLu Group. The aim of the agreement is to deliver an elevated online grocery offering for customers in the UAE, paired with both fast and convenient delivery options.

The new relationship, the statement added, will see both companies work together to deliver a seamless online grocery shopping journey backed by a wide selection, including everyday essentials and fresh grocery items, great prices, as well as fast delivery options on Amazon UAE. As of now, noon also offers an online grocery shop through its noon Daily product. The e-commerce retailer offers subscriptions as well for repeat purchases.
Why it matters
LuLu is one of the largest retail chains in the Middle East and operates a string of supermarkets, hypermarkets, and malls in the UAE. The partnership will extend LuLu’s presence in the eCommerce space in a country where online and hybrid “phygital” shopping is on the rise. Research has found, the UAE is especially open to mobile-assisted commerce.
