Finally, a way to get diversified exposure to the metaverse! Last week, the London Stock Exchange launched the world’s first metaverse-themed ETF. The ETC Group Global Metaverse UCITS ETF (METR) tracks Solactive ETC Group's global index which offers access to 51 different companies involved in the metaverse industry.

The companies found in the new ETF do business in the areas of virtual, augmented reality, 3D graphics, semiconductors, wireless communications, online gaming, streaming video, blockchain technology, including NFT, and related cloud storage.

METR traded up by 3.5% on its first day of trading. The ETF doesn't come cheap, though, with an expense ratio of 0.65%.
