- During the NASA mission briefing, UAE’s Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) shared the details of its second mission of the Astronaut Programme. The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, called Endeavour, will carry the UAE astronaut and Mission Specialist Sultan Al Neyadi.
- He will be accompanied by two NASA astronauts, Mission Commander Stephen Bowen, Pilot Warren Hoburg, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. The Director General of MBRSC shared that it has over 20 science experiments from UAE universities in the upcoming mission along with several outreach activities.
Why it matters
The UAE astronaut aims to see the UAE flag on the lunar surface, and leave a mark on international space exploration domain.
