- The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has completed 10 blockbuster deals worth over AED 15.6 billion since the start of 2023. ADX data reveals these deals were facilitated through the trading of 321.14 million shares of three prominent companies – Al Alamiya Holding, the Multiply Group, and Ghada Holding.
- Al Alamiya Holding was clearly the star of the show; snatching up five deals in total. In January, they sealed the deal on 8.3 million shares worth AED 3.37 billion. February saw them swoop in and grab 2.7 million more shares worth AED 1 billion. To top it off, Al Alamiya Holding really sealed the deal in March with three transactions that included 23.7 million shares for a total of AED 9.5 billion.
Why it matters
In February, a total of 279.8 million shares with a combined value of AED1.15 billion were traded in major deals by the Multiply Group. Ghada Holding was responsible for the leasr significant transaction, with 6.5 million shares valued at AED 533 million. Last year, 207 major deals were reported on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, with 16.1 billion shares exchanged for a total of AED 68.15 billion.
