Estée Lauder (EL.N), group company of all your fave makeup and skincare brands (MAC, Smashbox, Clinique, to name a few), reported a sales jump of 16% to $3.9b for its third fiscal quarter of 2021. The company has the recovery taking place in China and Australia to thank for that.
However, revenue fell short of analysts’ estimates due to weak demand in the cosmetics and makeup department, causing the company’s shares to fall nearly 7% (tough crowd). On the other hand, it seems like everyone working from home is upping their skincare game, because Estée Lauder’s sales in that segment soared 31% — #selfcare.
